I'm looking at stocking some muzzle loaders for the upcoming fall hunting season. I can get CVA, Traditions, Knight, Thompson Center. What models do you all like? I'd rather stock products that people want, rather then sit on losers all season (go figure).

i dont think you can go wrong with a thompson center, cva, and knight. the reason being for all 3 is becouse you are covering all the base's so to speak . cva is a cheeper ml so alot of people that dont have much cash flow can pick one up cheep and be able to hunt a week or two longer, knight and thompson center is prety much leading company's and they have ml's from plain to totaly custom. now with that being sead i dont know if you can get them or not but a company that is rasing the bar in the ml world is the savage ml10 it is capable of shooting not only bp but it is the only one in the world that can shoot smokeless powder and still keep the person pulling the trigger alive and safe. it is the easest of all to clean and maintaine pluse it is very capable of shooting 200yrd's also from what i have been reading on them they are the safest ml out there, from what another web sight sead it has been out for 6 years and not one person has been hunrt do to a gun misshap. the smokeless powder is not as crosive and you can shoot it today and not clean it till next year and it wont hunrt it like the normale ml. pluse like there centerfire gun's it comes with a accu trigger. also i dont know if to many people know this but cva is making a run at the encore market by comeing out with the optima eliet that can switch barrel's and become a centerfire in just a min or two. they dont have the amount of barrel's like the encore but it is new so give them a few and they will be more, right now they have a 243, a 270, a 30-05, i belive a 308 and i think they have a 300mag as well. another slepper ml is a h&r it to can be switched to a centerfire and is in the low end market with some of the cheepist barrels out there. let us know what you dicide and if you dont mind what type of centerfire gun's do you sell? i am looking for a 223 for under $350 but whould rather spend under $300. good luck. bow
I can get the Savage model ML10. my distributor has several models including stainless and blued barrels, and wood, laminate and realtree stocks. They do have some nice features like the accu trigger, 209 ignition system and using smokeless powder.
about the CVA elite switching barrels from ML to centerfire. that would explain why an FFL is required to get them from my distributor. I was wondering about that. they've got them listed in .243, .270 and 30-06
I don't have an FFL, so don't carry any firearms, just muzzle loaders, and gun accessories. I'll be importing some hunting air rifles from Europe in the near future, that will include an integrated silencer. Seems if that if the silencer is permanently attached to an air gun, the BATFE doesn't have a problem with them. At least according to the emails I got from the BATFE agent I spoke with about it.

dave, let me know if you get any of the savage's in. i am kinda in the market for one but nothing fancy just black and blue and cheep, lol. i am not realy sure what encore it is but i do know that thonpson center has at least one encore or contender that you can switch barrels on so you dont need a ffl to have one so you might want to look into it to be sure. if you get a savage's in and they start flying off the shelf remember who told you about them so be nice to me when you give me a price on the black and blue model lol . good luck and keep us posted. bow

I have a .50 cal Winchester X-150 and I really like it. It shoots very strait and consistently does so. I’ve been able to shoot 2 inch groups @ 100 yards off a bench rest with 150 grains of Pyrodex pellets and a 348 Gr. Lead PowerBelt hollow point with only the extra addition of a peep sight (no scopes allowed in Washington).
My major complaint with Winchester disappearing is that should I ever need parts, they are becoming very scarce and I'll probably be left having to buy a completely new gun.
Yeah I'm going to see that and raise you a "What the f -- k?!?"

Re: what muzzle loaders do you like?
I my self am a big Knight fan I love these rifles , they will shoot anything from Saboted bullets to conicals with the same great accuracy they are very well made ( U S A ) and knights customer service is top notch .

I love the Gonics, if anyone has one for sale let me know. I also sell conical bullets for them. They are to exact specs by Rodney himself. I have 450 grains at this time but will have 250 and 300 grains soon. 405 grains/100 ct will be $16 plus shipping. Let me know if we can sell you some lead.
