When trying out new loads or working up a load for a new gun, I always write all the information...the bullet and it's weight, powder and amount, primer type and make, brand of case and whether new or used, COL, whether full length sized or neck sized, crimped or not crimped, the date, and the estimated fps according to the manual I am using, in a booklet I keep for this. I do this with each different loading for this particular gun... After I have tried all the loads, I record the findings, as well as accuracy achieved (group size), in the book for each load. This makes it easy to know what loadings work well and what loadings don't work so well... After I have established what I consider "the best loading" for that particular gun, I highlight it, which makes it easy to find and duplicate.
Whenever I load, or reload, for any cartridges that I already have a load established for, I always cut a small piece of paper and write on it the the same information as above. I then scotch tape this to the box the cartridges are in.
Is this the same basic procedure that other people use when working up a new load, or putting together an already established loading ?
Seems to me that "Time" is merely an artificial concept, created by man, with which to hassel himself.
