y'all i love my husband, i really do.....(well,most of the time)....he is a genuis when it comes to metal and welding, working on vehicles, you know the normal guy stuff, but i'm stuck with a couple of 3 yr. olds building the new shed/workshop,my husband and brother.....i went out there to check on it.My GOD, they arent even using a level......his excuse was" well the concrete slab isn't level"......there's ways to go around that issue, i know, i've had to do help do it...i'm no expert but i have learned alot about a little, lol.... i've only helped out on putting a few metal roofs and buildings together and the first thing i learned, other than how to turn the drill on, lol was that a level is something you really need....the have all the sides up and most of the roof, :oit's has no stability, they said that will come when they put the sides on .....i'm really having some issues here .......i wasnt suppose to be invloved in this project because HE WANTED to do it....... i just got back in from outside , i was pulling nails and leveling the 2x4's ,well the ones i could get too.... i dont feel well and i have to put up with manly pride, it's bs.........why are y'all like this ? lol.............I'M doing the bathroom, there is no way he's getting near the house with his carpentry skills.........
Well my hubby is almost to much of a stickler on jobs. There ARE times when things don't need to be 'perfect'. But leveling stuff, even I know that's needed Should of seen the hell I gave a guy putting in our built in oven Poor guy had to chip out bricking verrrrrry slowly to get it right
Gotta go with Ma on this one, of course being a finish carpenter for about 12 years I strive for perfection, though I do know when enough is enough. That's usually when the wife looks at me and says, "YOU RIP THAT THING DOWN ONE MORE TIME AND I'M SELLING YOUR TOOLS, IT LOOKS FINE!" So yeah, levels squares, straight edges, I use it all. And yes Ma there are ways around something not level or square, I built my shed on an existing slab that slopes 2 1/2" and is 3 1/2"-4" outta square.

it's taken a month now, lol.....he still has the shingles on and the siding to put on, but it's getting there and he actually asked my opinon on where he should put the windows, i just wish he'd get it done, he said this week it will be , but i dont know, i thought it would of been done by now........
