What do you recommend that I do to aquire dove fields to manage and shoot? Is there any successful way that you have figured out to go about it? Do you offer to lease up front or is that something that you let come up in conversation? How much is a proper lease price to offer? PLEASE HELP... My Family sold off our land this year and I need a place to hunt next year. Thanks in advance, Michael...

I'm not sure how things work where you're at. It varies from area to area. Down here in Texas, there's plenty of day and season leases all over that have crops planted for the birds already. You just find the ad in the paper, call for directions, and pay the farmer when you get there.
"When a hunter is in a tree stand with high moral values and with the proper hunting ethics and richer for the experience, that hunter is 20 feet closer to God." Fred Bear
I'm looking to actually lease a property or two for the whole season for about 10-12 hunters. I think it will be cheaper to do this. The pay for a day places around here want an $100 per day average...
If twelve people put in $200 each= $2400. I think that will be plenty for a lease ($1200), management of the property ($1000), and a cookout at the end of the year ($200). Kind of like a standard hunting club, but no long term lease.

$100? That's steep. A season lease would be a great thing. I would get one if I could afford it. We usually just hunt a day lease opening day and maybe the next weekend, then anywhere that's free for the rest of the season. I'd look in the paper for any leases, and maybe on the internet.
