Summit has been nice enough to let me (Hunting in Georgia and Beyond) review a couple of their new products and they showed up today. I have the Headhunter Lite, which is a lock on style stand with a new and unique mounting style. From the looks, it will be roomy and comfy.
I also received a set of the new Buck Steps (which is what I am most excited about). The Buck Steps are an inovative new set of climbing sticks.
Cannot wait to get them on a tree! As soon as I do, I will get pics out for everyone and tell you what is good, bad and/or indifferent.
These stands showed up out of the blue and I must say thanks to Will Woller and the Summit Specialties staff.
Here is a link to the original link on my site showing the stands.
Gee! How is it you get the good stuff? The Buck Steps do look like a big improvement over anything I've ever seen. I would think they would be much safer, especially in freezing weather. We sure are lucky to have you here Huntinginga, for all you do and for a first hand review of those products. Can't hardly wait for your opinion.
Let us know how those steps work out..I am looking into trying to find some one that would make a set for kids to climb up .. Most ladders and other climbing sticks the steps are too far apart and their little legs cannot reach each one.. makes a VERY tough time climbing.. Let us know how that turns out.. Putt
I was thinking of sell my summit only because i wanted something flatter on my back and easier carrying in and out of the woods..... let me know what you think of these new stans and climbing sticks !!!! what is the suggested retail on the new 03 line does anyone know?
I use a climber mine is the cobra i think, most comfortable i ever slept in!!! ha ha ha
