What is some good fishing line in the 10lb catagory? I am using Yo-Zuri Hybrid and having alot of problems. My line gets tangled all the time behind the second and third eye on my rod.It also gets tangled in my reel.

If you are using a spinning reel outfit, your drag is too loose. As you reel in a fish your drag is slipping and you are putting twists in your line. The only way to get rid of those twists is in a boat go real real slow and with nothing on your line no weights swivels nothing. Let all the line off your reel. And pray it is tied on properly. Then let it drag for a good minute or so. then stop and reel it in. All your twistsm should be gone all with your tangles.

Another thing that might be happening if you are using a spinning reel is that you might have put the line on wrong If you keep it tight and roll it off the spool that it comes on, like you would WANT to do for a baitcasting reel, then it would twist as you put it on causing the same problem..................BUT usually if you are casting and reeling it sould straighten out on its own for that length of line, but if you are fishing where you lost a lot of lures and some string then you could keep pulling new string off the reel that was twisted.
I don't know a whole lot about spinning tackle, but something similar happened to me and that seemed to be the reason.
Doeslayer--Lots of good line out there. I like Berkley Trilene XL for mono and Berkley Fireline . If you are using a spinning, like others said. Check to see that line is going on spool correctly and never crank if the fish is taking drag. A spinning reel will always no matter what eventually get kinks in it and be a pain. A couple of tricks in this case. Once my spool is filled and I find the need for new line, I will remove and splice in approximately 50 yards new line instead of replacing the whole spool. Also, manuelly close the bail instead of having the crank do it. This also saves in accumulated line twist. Best Wishes--tr
As mentioned any of the premium quality lines mentioned above. Spending the couple extra dollars will save some aggravation in the long run and generally give better performance when the "hawg" of a lifetime is on. Good Luck !

For us, on our "most used reels", and those reels dedicated strictly to bass fishing or for catfish, trout, or crappie fishing, we will generally go with a "better" quality line...but on the "back up" reels and reels that we don't really use that often, we usually just buy a large spool of whatever is on sale in the pound test we want, and spool them up with that.... We have come to rather like the new CAJUN LINE by SHAKESPEARE lately... There are 3 or 4 types of CAJUN LINE, but the CAJUN RED CAST is the one we are useing... It casts smooth, is easy to see, but supposedly dissapears in the water, has low memory for it's test weight, and doesn't cost an arm and leg... The only problem I find with it is the fact that unlike some of the other CAJUN LINEs, RED CAST doesn't come in spools of more than 300 yards.
Seems to me that "Time" is merely an artificial concept, created by man, with which to hassel himself.
