Everyone talks about "patterning" shotguns...but........
Each time you change loads or brands of shot-shells for hunting with your shotgun(s), whether it is for dove, quail, pheasant, ducks, rabbits, squirrels, turkey, grouse, ect., do you always pattern your gun with this "new", and/or different load, or do you just load it up and go on ?
Seems to me that "Time" is merely an artificial concept, created by man, with which to hassel himself.

The only gun that I pattern is my Turkey gun. With my Browning Shotgun that I shoot doves, Quail and other Misc game I never even thought to patter it and never had a problem. The only gun that ever even thought about patterning was my Turkey gun.;
Same here as FHH on only patterning my turkey guns. If I goose or duck hunted, I probably would pattern it just to see what kind of pattern the steel shoots and how far it's affective on those high flyer's.
As far as other game I hunt with shotgun, I feel the goal to find a tight pattern isn't as important as it is with turkey hunting. I'm heading to PA/WV next week for some wabbit hunting. Now it's a save bet that if I get out there and can't hit a running wabbit, I'll be checking my gun Although, I doubt it will be an case seeing it's never been an issue in the past ;D
