usually you hear about how people fall out of em, not how they fall on people, ......i learned a painful lesson.......i was putting my ladder stand(12') up in the backyard...now i have done this a few times, no biggie......i got it up on a tree and i decided to move it to the next, knowing it was too top heavy for me, i thought i can do it, well the top of it started falling backwards and the bottom was coming up over my head, before i could get out of the way , the top came crashing into my foot, i grabbed the nearest tree, thought the pain will be gone in a sec., bout that time it got so bad, i was weak, i had to sit down, lol.....before i fell...lol....my ankle is bloodied and black and blue, but it's looking better......but i can walk, it keeps shooting these frickin' pains that really suck......so just keep in mind, if it's too heavy one way, try another,if that doesnt work, get help........

My buddy and I tried to stand my 16' box blind up by ourselves once. We'll never do that again. We dropped it and he caught the end of a step in the back. It could have hurt him pretty good, but he was lucky.

Sounds like you might have broke something HM. I have heard that when you break or crack a bone it makes you sick.I don't guess you are up for any dancing are you. J/K. Hope the ankle gets better soon.
dropping stuff is bad enough, don't forget to treat your back with respect. Lift properly and don't overload yourself, treestand today can be light but put 40lbs on the end of a 10 foot pole and pick it up, it's awkward and will shift on you. Hate to be ont he forest floor with a blown disc!
